There will be a Youth and 4-H Club Leader meeting for the 2022 Berlin Fair on Tuesday, February 1, at 7:00 pm. This will take place at the fairgrounds. Feeder calf tags will be given to leaders at this meeting, to be distributed to their group members.
Reminder
Declaration forms for feeder calves are due Tuesday, Febuary 1st.
Declaration forms for pigs, rabbits, poultry, lambs, and goats are all due Tuesday, March 1.
Forms are available on the Berlin Fair website. Emailed is preferred, or they can be mailed to the Berlin Fair office (address is at the bottom of the form).
Regarding market lambs, the rule regarding tail docking will be strictly enforced this year. Tails must be no shorter than the caudal fold. If it is found shorter at fair, the lamb will be disqualified and unable to show and sell at the livestock auction. Tails will be pen-checked at weigh-in and exhibitors will be notified if their animal does not meet this requirement. Please let your kids that show lambs know this as soon as possible so we don’t have any disappointed kids at fair time.
